Today’s famous religious institutions and edifices are more and more mostly museums charging admission, and are relics of a dying consciousness and sensibility — with much historical blood on its hands. When a building or artifact comes to have more value and significance than peaceful coexistence and the personal spiritual state of individuals and humanity, then they perhaps have become something whose usefulness might be questioned. The real Church is surely within us.
